Confirmed!
I just received this e-mail message from our agency!
Great news! Today we received your Consulate appointment confirmation!
Your group's Consulate appointment is confirmed for 1/23/2008.
Based on this Consulate appointment date, CCAI requires that you arrive in HONG KONG on, or before, 1/11/2008.
AAAAHHHHH!!!! We had been told to expect this information on Monday morning via telephone, with the caveat that they may not receive the confirmation in time to leave on the 10th. But now it's here and it's a GO! We've been racing for a few days already so I feel vaguely under control, but I must say this has put a few butterflies in my stomach. Since we're going early, we will be in Hong Kong one week from now and we'll have Ailah in our arms in less than two weeks! It just seems unbelievable after this long, long wait.
I'd love to sit and chat but I can't. I was supposed to leave for my child-free shopping trip 45 minutes ago and daylight is burning. It's a race, it's a race! I hope I win!

Don't worry - you'll win that race. We're moms, and we work best under pressure!! I am SO excited for you guys. Now get those suitcases out and start packing!
Laurie-
I'm praying for you and will pass on the info to Dave about what you've found out from Children's IA clinic. We used that clinic with
Lily when we arrived home and discovered her terribly high lead level. They were very helpful and reassuring. I will be praying daily for you as you fly off to China! Yippee!! I wish I was going too! I love China... not the flight... but something about stepping off the plane and smelling the smells... today is Linnea's gotcha day... such memories... can't wait to meet your new little one!

Laurie~ I am so excited for you. I can't wait to follow your journey back in China again. I hope you have good connections so that you can post as much as possible while there. Can't wait to see little Ailah in your loving arms! Praying for a safe and uneventful trip.
